摘要：This paper elaborates an approach about the development and the natural impacts that affect the tourism industry, specifically in the Cayman Islands. The literature review is based in major publications on the subject, and the most relevant data are presented as graphs and tables that show developments, since 2000, the behavior of data related to the occupation of the islands, bed availability, and types arrival to the region. In parallel, an analysis was made on the occurrence of hurricanes in the region and their effect on tourism activities. Are given several analysis on the consequences of such natural phenomena on the rates of arrival on site, and especially, the association between the degree of intensity of hurricanes and the different impacts on the entire target region of this research.
