摘要：The following paper intends to analyse the efficiency of various interests of the main “actors” (in this case, the local public authority) involved in the rehabilitation of the environment, as part of the economic - social recovery process within the regions affected by the restructuring of the romanian mining sector. According to the national general appreciation, coal mining is associated to the Jiu Valley. Jiu Valley is one of the most important mining regions in Romania, its history is written based on this natural resource, which is also important for the development of the society within this area.
