摘要:Continuous passive motion (CPM) plays a preventive role from the secondary complicated injury caused by synarthrosis. The present study conducted CPM on patients who had injured her ligamentum cruciatum anterius (ACL) and received reconstructive surgery with LEEDS-KEIO artificial ligamentum. Post surgery course indicated decrease of pain at injured point and improvement in range of motion (ROM). With respect to ROM, it improved by the curve of 35 degrees four weeks after the start of CPM, but no further improvement was observed for the four ensuing weeks. These results suggest that CPM was necessary for physical therapy performed after reconstructive surgery with artificial ligamentum.
