摘要:The purpose of this study is to examine excitability of the motoneuron after repetitive electrical stimulation to peripheral nerves. The repetitive stimulation with the intensity of just above the threshold of the H-wave was delivered to the tibial nerve once per second for 15 minutes. The H-wave was elicited from the triceps surae within 20 minutes after the stimulation. The amplitude of the H-wave obtained 15 and 20 minutes after the stimulation was significantly higher than that of the control H-wave. The result suggests that the repetitive electrical nerve stimulation may increase excitability of the motoneuron being applicable to the therapy for the patient with motor dysfunction.
