The paper investigates relationship between career success (divided into objective and subjective career success) and achievement motivation. The research sample consisted of 83 employed respondents. The study investigated relationship between subjective career success (measured by career satisfaction) and achievement motivation and also between subjective and objective career success (measured by number of pay increases, number of promotions and job position). The results showed that higher degree of achievement motivation is positively correlated with higher degree of subjective career success. The assumption of positive correlation between the level of subjective career success and job position, number of promotions and number of pay increases was supported too.
