摘要：SUMMARY: The paper discusses the possible effects of noise on people in the working environment and modes of protection against hearing damage and loss. One of the possible measures is the use of personal hearing protection devices. In addition, three methods are offered to determine the effective A-value noise levels, the octave-band method which can be used as referent method, and two simpler methods, the H-M-L and the SNR method. The level of noise is reduced by using hearing protection devices.
