摘要:Human Resource Practices (HR Practices) is the focal point in screening potential workers, offering room for promotion as well as providing training and enhancing career developments. It refers to the act of attracting and retaining employees; as the key to achieve organizational success. A lack of attention put forward by organization on their employees’ satisfaction will adversely affect its goals. Hence, this study attempts to examine the contributory effects of HR Practices consisting of recruitment, promotion and training and development on employees’ job satisfaction. The respondents were employees from five selected local governments in Northern Region in Malaysia. This study used Descriptive Statistics and Pearson’s Correlation to analyze the relationship between the variables. The findings show that recruitment, promotion and training and development have significant relationship with the employees’ job satisfaction but at a moderate level. It is recommended that the local governments put more attention and determination in boosting up the level of their employees’ satisfaction by enhancing the recruitment, promotion and training and development activities in the future.
