摘要：During the past two decades a great deal of attention has been paid to the ‘get-tough’ movement in regard to juvenile justice processes. One particular manifestation of this more punitive orientation has been the increased emphasis on transferring juveniles to adult court. This paper examines all of the case files still available for juveniles transferred to adult court in New Mexico (N = 49) between the years of 1981 and 1990 in terms of their demographic profiles and legal factors such as present offense and offense history.
