摘要：História e cultura indígenas são estimuladas a figurar nas escolas por meio de uma lei que criou a obrigatoriedade deste estudo nos estabelecimentos de ensino básico. Conquanto reconheçam-se seus limites, a lei se insere nos esforços para uma educação intercultural. Por sua vez, os povos originários têm constituído historicamente um patrimônio para a interculturalidade, criando concretamente mecanismos que possibilitam a interação com outros povos. Este artigo, produzido a partir de pesquisas sobre a temática indígena, constata como a história e a cultura desses povos originários vem sendo trabalhadas nas escolas, bem como que concepções de indígenas e que encontros interculturais se sustentam por meio de experiências de ensino.
其他摘要：Indigenous history and culture are stimulated to be taught in schools by a law that makes it compulsory to study these subjects in basic education. Although recognizing its limits, the law constitutes part of the efforts for an intercultural education. In turn, indigenous peoples have historically constituted a patrimony for interculturality, creating concrete mechanisms that enable interaction with other peoples. This article, produced from researches on the indigenous theme, notes how history and culture of these indigenous peoples have been treated in schools, and also which conceptions of indigenous and which intercultural encounters are supported through educational experiences.
