摘要:Scientific researches focused on the water quality use, in general, empirical models of inference on water components from others observed in field, allowing a better spatial representation of the variable, beyond reduction of costs. Environmental researchers use the Secchi depth in indirect calculation of vertical attenuation coefficient for water irradiance and in the estimation of stretching euphotic zone to classify water types on Brazilian water ecosystems. Then, the main aim of this research was to realize the inference of water euphotic zone and the vertical attenuation coefficient for water irradiance in Itupararanga Reservoir, using the IKONOS multispectral image, in spectral bands 1 (450-520 nm); 2 (520-600 nm); 3 (630-690 nm) and 4 (760-900 nm) and spectral data collected “in situ” with FieldSpec UV/VNIR (400-900 nm) spectroradiometer, and to generate an inference model of water transparence through available data. After initials data agreement and processing, the whole data was submitted to correlation analysis, generating an inference model which close to variables surveyed “in situ” in a specific points sampled enable to estimate the vertical attenuation coefficient of irradiation water in the reservoir; to classify the reservoir water as clear; and to estimate the euphotic zone depth arose like narrow (between 5,94 m and 7,96 m). So concluded that the reservoir presents not much concentration of suspension solids.
