摘要:This essay reflects on the advent of literacy as a social practice, recognizing
that the use of grammatical rules in language teaching/learning contributes
little to the individual’s critical ability in relation to his language and his
social concerns. Having this in mind, literacy can promise the possibility of a
significant change in the individual’s growth. From this perspective, distance
learning emerges as a promising path which can facilitate access to
knowledge and consequently to social inclusion.
