摘要：The ambient problems already are part of the global reality and, amid so many problems, the water is frequent subject in the debates. Thus, this article is about the relation person-environment and it seeks to understand how the water users, of urban supplying, represent the resource who consume; it has the age of participants as a focus of analysis. As result was observed that for the majority, independently of the age, the water is perceived not only as resource, but as source of life. Face to the environmental problems related to water, young people attribute greater responsibility to the people that older people, which attribute the responsibility to the supply company and the government. About the availability of water in the future, the participants were pessimistic and have linked this answer to human action. This finding may be useful for us to evaluate ways to manage and that takes into account the involvement of people in management policies.
