标题：Teachers’ Viewpoints on the Measurement and Evaluation Methods Used in the Primary Social Studies Courses (4-5th Grades)

摘要：The aim of the study is to investigate classroom teachers’ opinions regarding the achievements gained via the new measurement and evaluation methods used in Social Studies courses and the problems faced in the classrooms. An open-ended questionnaire was designed and distributed to 129 classroom teachers. Additionally, interviews were carried out with 28 teachers. The content analysis was used in order to analyze, sort and quantify the written and verbal data. According to the findings of the study, teachers think that evaluation of all facets of students, addressing different intelligences of students, raising the interest and success of students are the achievements of the new measurement and evaluation methods while overcrowded classrooms, limited time to apply the measurement and evaluation methods in classrooms, school infrastructure seem to be some of the problems faced in classrooms. Implications for overcoming the problems related to the new measurement and evaluation methods were discussed.
