摘要：The importance of the mass media regarding the image of people with disabilities is today well known. The aim of this study is to carry out a preliminary analysis of the photographic coverage of the Paralympic Games of 2000 and 2004 as appeared in the european written press. The analysis of the newspapers indicates the presence of some possitive images which participate in the inclusión qnd destigmatization of people with disabilities. However, another part of the typology that was developed in the present study, indicates also the presence of more sterotyped images which do not contribute to the destigmatization of the disability-ies.
