摘要:The purpose of this essay is to approach the subject of computers in school in the light of understanding curriculum as a cultural practice and discussing the connection between bureaucracy and curriculum. In this analysis, bureaucracy’s feature is being marked by a rational organization of the material production and a symbolic character in the cultural field. In this regard, the bureaucratic logic is ambivalent. Making use of this ambivalence to place computer in the curriculum, although its mechanism of functioning is in favor of the bureaucracy, one concludes it is not restrained to the fact that the computer can be crossed by potentialized logics that may help people to see the place they truly belong to in the world, ask about the legitimacy of their position and also by offering them a more favorable change of time and space. Therefore, it is not possible to define a fixed place for computers in curriculum; however, the more marginal and peripheral its place and the more central the world and people’s place, better will be the potential to break with the bureaucratic logic.
