This study aims to review how the, who were pharmacologically treated, face their illness problems. Based on a qualitative approach, it is possible to detect problems regarding prejudices, social exclusion, prevention methods, coping strategies, and other issues related to an HIV patient. The perspectives of these patients' life are analyzed as well as the psychological and bodily changes concerning to the treatment adherence. The research showed that those subjects have a positive expectation to the treatment. The chance of a better quality of life involving de longevity and physical or psychical characteristics is very important, despite of the possible collateral effects caused by the treatment.
