摘要:In the research it is aimed to determine whether sex, location where keeping of animal, period of keeping
of animal, person who responsible with care of animal and vary of animal lead to any differences on
aggressiveness level of children who are attending primary school fourth and fifth grade and having domestic
animal. The study conducted on 150 (Female: 79, Male: 71) children attending 4th and 5th years of primary
education schools, from different socio‐economic levels and age of from ten to twelve in central of Ankara. In
order to get information about the children and their families ¡°General Information Form¡± developed by
researchers, and to determine the aggressiveness levels of the children, ¡°Aggressiveness Inventory¡± was used.
Data getting from the research are evaluated with ¡°Mann Whitney U‐Test¡± and ¡°Kruskal Wallis Test¡± It is
observed that location where keeping of animal (p<.05), period of keeping of animal (p<.01), person who
responsible with care of animal (p< .01), and vary of animal (p< .05) make a significant difference while sex
does not make any significant difference (p>.05).
