摘要：The usefulness of literature as an aid to understanding economic phenomena and the social context in which these phenomena occur it has been the subject of diverse research projects and publications in economic science and business studios journals. At the same time, the professional view of the economist can provide new perspectives on the world of certain writers. Lastly, we can fi nd writers who, apart from the creative writing, earned their daily bread in the world of business and thus were part-economists. The case of Fernando Pessoa is particularly illustrative of these three important connections between literature and economics.
