摘要：The benefits for the Dutch economy due to government
participation in the development of the Joint Strike Fighter
(JSF) would not compensate for the costs and the risks.
Participation would create production and jobs in the aircraft
industry, but these benefits are offset by less activity elsewhere
in the economy. The exploitation of American technology
and expertise yields few benefits. From an economic point
of view, the Dutch can better purchase the F-16 successor offthe-
shelf six years later.
