摘要：Climate specialists have become increasingly
convinced that the amount of CO2 and other
greenhouse gases we are producing is leading to
atmospheric temperature changes, which will
have massive, somewhat unforeseeable, consequences
for the lives of us all and future generations.
Although Earth appears to have experienced
many such temperature changes over the
millenia, some of them quite abrupt, it would appear
that we are undertaking a massive experiment
in climate modification without, so far, understanding
fully its consequences or paying
much heed to probable costs and benefits.
