摘要:Researches applied at Rui Barbosa Public Elementary and Middle School – Ijuí/RS, showed that the teaching-learning process demanded from students of first cycle is too intensive. The Mental Work Productivity Level in these students starts to decrease as soon as the first schedule in the school day is over, and lasts up to the third schedule. According to the results, we tried to increase and keep a good Mental Work Productivity Level in these students through the Physical Culture Pause, which was led throughout the first to the third schedule of the school day. So, the Physical Culture Pause was applied in students in the first period (before intermission). The results concerning the Pause application showed that the children from the first cycle not only kept the Mental Work Productivity Level in the two first thirds of the first period of study in the school day, but also did they increase it.
