摘要：The development of metropolitan areas is the main characteristic of today’s urban evolution trends and the uncontrolled evolution of the Bucharest Metropolitan Area affects the relationship between population growths and land resources leading to several future implications on the environment. Human pressure on the environment in the Metropolitan Area of Bucharest Municipality represents an important threat to vegetation cover and ultimately to environment quality. The protection and preservation of natural environment should be accomplished through environmental legislation by protected areas, urban documentations by green – yellow belts and through forest plans.
