This study was conducted to investigate the adolescents’ perceptions of parental support and parental monitoring. One hundred and seventy seven students from nine and ten grade students participated to this study. “Mother and Father Support and Monitoring Behaviors” questionnaire prepared by researchers was used to gather data. The results indicated that perceived parental (mother and father) monitoring behaviors were significantly different in terms of adolescent’s gender and the number of siblings. Perceived father monitoring behavior was also found significantly different in terms of the marriage status of parents. Findings also showed that as the number of children increased, perceived mother support decreased in return.
