摘要：The goal of the present research is to characterize and analyze the techno-scientific network path, of the La Araucanía Region´s food-processing industry, between the years 1983 and 2006, period in which this network was conformed. After a discussion about theoretical approaches from the field of the sociology of the science, the theory actor network (actor - network theory), the systems of innovation, the technological paths, the theory of networks and their application in techno-scientific networks, a theoretical Model on techno-scientific network paths is elaborated and proposed. Later on, a robust descriptive analysis of secondary information was made, this analysis main focus was the construction of longitudinal indicators, structural network analysis (synchronous and longitudinal) of researchers and institutions, in-depth interviews and an integrated analysis, in this way is possible to include a higher level of complexity in the understanding of the object of study.
