摘要:The 2001 report The Surgeon
General¡¯s Call To Action To
Prevent and Decrease Overweight
and Obesity identified overweight
and obesity as major public health
problems costing U.S. society as
much as $117 billion a year and
posing as large a threat of morbidity
as poverty, smoking, or problem
drinking. This striking conclusion
is leading public health officials to
search for new ideas to increase
the effectiveness of programs designed
to influence diet, exercise,
and other weight-reducing lifestyle
choices.
