摘要:Research by the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) examined the extent and manner in
which disabled people are included in the response to emergency situations, looking particularly at response to the
tsunami in Sri Lanka, India with some input from Indonesia. Several member organisations of the Consortium contributed
to the work, which was funded by Disability Knowledge and Research (www.disabilitykar.net). The aim of
the research was to promote the inclusion of disability, both through the methodology and through dissemination of
the research results. This article will focus on some of the findings from Sri Lanka. The reader is referred to the full
research report for more complete analysis of findings.
