摘要：An XML Schema is an XML-based alternative to DTDs which describes the structure of an XML document. Although various storage techniques that can reflect the XML schemas are actively being researched, new techniques need to be developed due to the fact that IDREFS type elements can refer to several different types of data. For example, the PDTNet XML schema data, an international standard for the PDM data model, is an actual example document which includes references to all sorts of elements. However, existing storage techniques only handle homogeneous reference data. In this paper, we have proposed efficient storage techniques for such complex heterogeneous reference type data, and showed that the proposed techniques significantly improve the query performance.
