Researches show that the familiar disagreements are one of the main motivations of the social rupture characteristic of the highway wanderers' life style. With the purpose of investigate this subjects' personality, a battery of graphic projective techniques was applied in 23 highway wanderers hosteled in a assistantial institution. In this work will be presented the data obtained with the Family Drawing, a technique that allows the expression of feelings and perceptions about the familiar relationships. The colected production analysis indicates that the researched highway wanderers have feelings of hostility and agressivity with their families, tendency to escape, inhibition, restraint and self desvalorization and find severe dificulties to establish social contacts. These results aren't conclusives, but supply subsidies to a better comprehension of this subjects and, eventually, to improve the intervention' strategies directioned to this population. Finally, it presents some considerations on the necessity of doing more research to help the treatment of a chronic disease such as Diabetes, which is characterised by difficult adherence to treatment.
