摘要:¨C Through a message of hope, this article aims at proposing a nove
vision on issues of continuous education in its journey of !°helping people becom
human!±. In a qualitative, comprehensive-interpretative approach, the researc
investigates the contributions that continuous education has offered to higher educationprofessors!ˉ building of wholeness. These professors were selected among participant
in Master!ˉs Programs on Education, and the results revealed that the investment mad
by the participants in continuous education is almost entirely related to their professional
and individual/intellectual dimensions, whereas their relational, physical, emotional and,
especially, their spiritual dimensions have been neglected. The spiritual dimension was
studied according to Wilber, for whom every human being, as they assume their own
evolution process, needs to broaden their consciousness through investing in their self-
formation/continuous education. Through the understanding and the interpretation of
the results, this research presents the necessity of emphasizing the focus on the professors!
spiritual dimension, and on the inspiring awakening of a novel consciousness, which
should enlighten us in the recognition of the true purpose of life and, thus, contribute to
a desirable transformation of the world.
