摘要:The Yellow-eared Parrot (Ognorhynchus icterotis) is a globally critically endangered species currently known from only two isolated populations. However, historical records and recent information suggest that the species might occur on other localities in the Cordillera Central. We found this parrot in the surroundings of the Navarco river basin, Cajamarca municipality, Tolima. We obtained visual and auditory records of O. icterotis, suggesting the existence of a new population for Colombia, which hopefully will improve prospects for its conservation.
