摘要：An overview of octenidine is given on the basis of microbicidal and virucidal activity as well as on mechanism of action and wound tolerance in comparison to other often used antiseptic agents. For the assessment of the active agent in due to its suitability for antisepsis of wounds, additionally, other biological effects were demonstrated and a toxicological assessment has been done.
