摘要：Last century has been deeply marked by the use of biological determinism as a domination tool, supported by scientific theories claiming the existence of human races. Today, despite the scientific invalidation of the notion of race, racism has not been eradicated in our societies. On the contrary, cultural determinism has replaced biological determinism. Just as it was the case for the notion of race, it becomes necessary to denounce this new abuse by providing causal explanations of the cultural variability. But understanding the mechanisms of variation of cultural traits is not enough to help fighting racist ideologies, it is also essential to understand the behavioural mechanisms underlying the discrimination attitude. For this purpose, cognitive sciences and neurobiology may be of primary importance.
