摘要：The main goal of this project was to develop a methodology to generate runoff data related to the main farming production systems (SP) of the humid tropics in Costa Rica. Guácimo, Limón was used as a sample region. If the conceptual model is validated, it will generate a database for the region. With this information, it will be easier to use and manage soil, as well as develop and implement practices to control water, runoff, and erosion. The proposed methodology includes the following: criteria to select SP and the sites where the plots will be located to measure runoff and recommendations for the number, the type, and the form of the parcels, the experimental design, and the measuring instruments of runoff and precipitation.
