Why Moss? - The Fans Speak Out

Why would you put Randy Moss on the cover of your October 2002 issue? Couldn't you think of any other players who were more deserving of that honor? Let's face it: The Vikings are going nowhere. I'm sure Moss will finish the year with his usual great statistics, but it won't matter because the Vikings won't be playing football in January. In the future, I think you guys should focus on players who have a real chance of making an impact.

While we see your point, Mark, we put Moss on the cover because he's the type of player who always elicits a reaction, be it negative or positive. The fact that you took the time to write us a letter on the matter is proof of that. And there is no denying that Moss is one o/the best receivers in the game. By virtue of that, he'll always have an impact, whether the Vikings reach the playoffs or not.
