Daily review - Activities From Our Readers - Brief Article
Luke JohnsonDuring the last 20 minutes of the day, I invite my fourth, fifth, and sixth graders to fill out a "Daily Review" form (see Reproducible at right). Students reflect on the day's learning and successes, as well as what they look forward to the next day. They then take the form home to share with their parents. This is an excellent way to reinforce skills and enhance students' long-term memories. Parents also like having the form because they can review their children's learning firsthand, and ask relevant questions about their progress.--Luke Johnson, Kirkland, WA
