Peers gets Towers job

LONDON TOWERS have appointed Robbie Peers as their new head coach, writes Marco Giacomelli.

The 39-year-old joins following a successful spell with Chester Jets, in which he led them to six domestic basketball honours in three seasons, including the 'clean sweep' in the 2001-02 season.

He takes over from Dave Lindstrom after the Towers finished seventh in the league.

Peers said: "It's a big challenge but I will roll up my sleeves and give it my best effort."
