Steiner 8x30 Navigator Binoculars
Larson, JohnThe newest installment in Steiner's "Navigator" series of marine binoculars, the compact 8X model is not only the smallest and lightest in the series, but the most powerful as well. Designed for use on the water, these light, handy binocs are useful in the field as well. Weighing in at just 18 ounces, the 8x30 navigator uses Steiner's haze-blocking lens coating for increased contrast, allowing the user to spot fish, sea birds, buoysand even game-from great distances, even through fog. And while the Navigator reduces glare from the water's surface, it still performs well under near-dark conditions. The 8x30 Navigator has a field of view of 390 feet at 1000 yards, and, once it has been adjusted for the user's eye, is in permanent focus from 20 yards to infinity, allowing the user to scan large areas without having to refocus. With wrap-around profiled eyecups and rugged navy blue armor, the 8x30 Navigator is protected by a 10-year warranty, and is available for $249.
