FOOTBALL: Keane to see him
IAN JOHNSONTHE clamour to see Roy Keane's debut for Celtic has meant the planned 'first come, first served' sale of tickets tomorrow for the Hoops' Tennent's Scottish Cup tie against Clyde on January 8 has been cancelled.
It had been expected that fans could come to Celtic Park and buy the tickets until they sold out.
However, Keane's signing this week has resulted in a change of plan.
A Celtic Ticket Services spokesman told the club's official website: "The demand for tickets went through the roof when it became a clear that Roy's first Celtic match could be at Broadwood.
"As a consequence, offers will be sent out by post as per our usual arrangements.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to those who had planned to come on Monday, but with demand as high as it is, there is no other way we can proceed."
