Sarah DixonI WAS disgusted by Carole Malone's article concerning the treatment of prisoners held by the Americans in Cuba. These people have been neither tried nor convicted of anything so far, and should be looked after humanely.
Leaving aside the recent history of Afghanistan's problems, in which America has played a significant part, does Ms Malone not understand that if the most powerful nation in the world is allowed to behave as it pleases, the fragile structure known as civilisation will collapse and we will all suffer the consequences?
And if the import of Ms Malone's message is that revenge for September 11 should be sought by any means, is not the alleged 3,000 dead in Afghanistan in the so-called War On Terror enough?
