Operation Desert Fox: George's greetings go down a bomb
DON MACKAY in KuwaitA LONELY father sent Saddam Hussein greetings last night from his one-year-old daughter - on the side of a 2,000lb missile.
RAF weapons technician George Duncan, who hasn't seen his baby for four months, chalked: "To Saddam from Kimberley - for making my Dad miss my first Christmas." He even signed it with three kisses.
George, 34, said: "That's the tenth time I've written it since we started flying combat missions. I do it just to make sure he gets the point about who he's keeping me from seeing at Christmas." George, from Leven, Fife, is part of 12 Squadron RAF Lossiemouth who are flying their Tornadoes from Kuwait's Ali Al Salem airbase, 35 miles from the Iraqi border.
His only contact with first-born Kimberley and wife Lynne, 27 has been a weekly phone call and letters.
Last night he scrawled the message again on a "bunker buster" missile as the squadron went into action.
He said: "I really don't like that man Saddam. I'd rather he wasn't causing this bother so we didn't need to be here."
