Desperate to learn desktop publishing, PhotoShop, web design or HTML? Pick them up in a week, and get the certificate to prove it. Pitman offers Publisher - 18 hours for pounds 275 - or Microsoft Front Page, a web-design course, also 18 hours, for pounds 275, plus HTML, PhotoShop and Dreamweaver.
It also does a new introductory course to PR skills, at pounds 225. There's a Pitman's certificate at the end of each course, which they suggest you do in five four-hour stints or 10 two-hour ones, with time in between for holiday relaxation.
