SM Plus: Big Mac shame of greedy MPs

IT was depressing to read the Sunday Mirror story last week that MPs have taken trips to Euro 2004 courtesy of McDonald's, one of the biggest providers of junk food.

This hypocritical behaviour seriously undermines our faith in the Government when it comes to tackling the problem of obesity in the UK.

Our pampered MPs are generously rewarded with lavish expenses and inflation-proofed pensions.

They shouldn't be looking for hand-outs to travel to Portugal.
