Your Say: A licence to abuse
M EnnisI WAS disgusted to read your story about poor Paul Taylor, the teenager suffering from myalgic encephalomyelitis or so-called yuppie flu.
His illness has forced him to miss out on a promising career as a tennis player and he can now barely drag himself from bed.
But instead of getting the help and support he needs, he has been abandoned by the Government which refuses to pay him state benefits.
We are always hearing about people scrounging off the state, but Paul's case is clearly genuine, and yet he is treated with contempt. It is an absolute disgrace and I hope Paul finds the strength to get his life back on track.
