Your say: Reader's letter
N AkhtarI WAS horrified to read just how easy it is for children to buy knives with no questions asked.
There are laws for buying alcohol, cigarettes and solvents. The same should apply to knives. Of course it is going to be difficult to stop people carrying these weapons, but if it is made harder to purchase them in the first place it would at least be a start.
Then we would not have to read of mindless stabbings, such as that of schoolboy Luke Walmsley recently.
