Why was Chris Tarrant a loser in love?; A: Always late B: Bad kisser
MICHAEL BURKECHRIS Tarrant's first girlfriend didn't need to phone a friend to recall why she dumped him as a teenager.
The answer was on the tip of her tongue all the time - he was a lousy kisser.
Babs Honeybell told the TV show, Stars in Their Lives: "He would walk me to the top of the road and then slurp all over me."
It was one of several embarrassing moments for Chris who, at first, claimed not to know the woman who dumped him in 1964.
But the penny dropped when a picture of a 15-year-old bikini-clad Babs appeared on a screen in front of his wife and six children.\
The Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? star gasped: "Oh God, I do remember you. You were a real raver."
The show, to be screened next week, includes revealing tales of his life before fame. He even received one last custard pie in the face - courtesy of an unmasked Phantom Flan Flinger from his children's show, Tiswas.
Chris admitted he wasn't the most experienced lover when he met Babs.
"I hadn't mastered tongues," he said. "I'm afraid I did have an unpleasant slurping technique.
"She opened her mouth and I nearly fell in."
