Don't say a word..
THOMAS SMITHHIGH drama continues in River City this week after last week's sensational entrance of a violent child-abuser into the BBC Scotland soap.
The explosive scene pictured here is the moment when the Tall Ship's terrified Eileen (played by Dierdre Davis) has her mouth gagged by the gigantic hand of Alex (John McGlynn) as he slams her on to a table, pins her against a wall, and issues a chilling warning.
Regular viewers will know that Alex has a grim history...as the abusing, adoptive father of the confused schoolgirl Alanna (Jade Lezar) who - in a frightening scene screened last week - found herself dramatically confronted by him again, while alone in her caravan.
Realising that Eileen knows his dark secret, the violent villain sets out to make sure she keeps her silence.
But despite the hard man's hard rain of terror, Eileen manages to bring Alanna's shocked mother Roisin into the picture.
It all rolls up into to a sensational Christmas cracker of a storyline for River City viewers.
The tense scenes will be screened on Tuesday evening and are set to switch on a massive ratings winner.
