MY grandmother still has her milk delivered by a milkman. When I told her it was much cheaper at the supermarket, she said, "Yes, I know, but I also know that nobody from the supermarket knocks on my door every morning, especially in bad weather, to check that I'm OK, and Billy, my 'milkie', has been doing that for 20 years."
