LOTTERY millionaire Barry Moss has snapped up a new home for pounds 890,000 after spotting it on the internet.

Former JCB digger operator Barry, who won pounds 7.5million two months ago, is swapping his modest semi for the five-bedroom mansion in Hartlepool - the most expensive house in town.

Barry, 57, and his partner of 20 years, Pat Herriott, will be able to enjoy 1.2 acres of grounds, an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, sun terrace and three-car garage.

WHO Wants To Be A Millionaire? winner David Edwards is spending part of his pounds 1m prize on learning Welsh.

Teacher David, 54, of Uttoxeter, Staffs, was born in Wales and always yearned to learn his mother tongue. The father-of-two whose parents spoke Welsh said: "It will be my biggest challenge."
