Neil goes to War
MARK OLIVEROLDHAM manager Neil Warnock was interviewed by police last night after allegedly punching Brentford captain Jamie Bates.
The half-time fracas outside the tunnel erupted as Warnock was trying to get to referee Barry Knight to complain about Graeme Hogg's tackle on Paul Rickers.
Bates came between the pair and police and stewards had to restrain Warnock.
Immediately after Hogg's tackle on 38 minutes Andy Scott blasted Brentford ahead.
Warnock said: "It's making a mountain out of a molehill.
"I've asked the referee to watch the video recording of the tackle frame by frame."
A police officer said: "There was a scuffle and a report will be made - and we will then consider what, if any, future action will be taken."
A stunning volley by Robert Taylor on half-time put Brentford further ahead and there was no way back for Oldham after that despite Paul Reid hitting back on the 66-minute-mark.
Bees boss Micky Adams said: "I'm delighted with the lads, and I was looking for cool heads in the second half."
