THAT'S ANDY FOR PARS!
ROBERT MARTINAndy Smith and Andy Todd scored to give Dunfermline a deserved win in a dress rehearsal for their forthcoming Coca- Cola Cup clash.
The goals will give Hearts boss Jim Jeffries many sleepless nights and he can't have been happy with his side's defence.
They should have cleared the first after 57 minutes but there was no one to stop Smith tapping in the rebound after Bingham had a shot blocked by Gilles Rousset.
The Pars scored a second 10 minutes later when Stewart Petrie's cross was missed completely by Rousset and Todd rose high and headed the ball into the empty net.
Hearts reply came in the final minute when Jim Hamilton drove home from close range.
Sadly, for them, by that stage the game was out of their reach.
Yet it was Hearts who created the better chances in the opening period, although Dunfermline keeper Ian Westwater was rarely required to make a save.
Colin Cameron, Neil McCann and John Robertson all had opportunities to break the deadlock, but each of them failed to hit the target with their efforts.
At the other end Rousset had been Hearts' hero, pulling off a terrific double save in the seventh minute to keep his side in the game.
The big Frenchman was at full stretch to turn away another Todd header, then somehow managed to claw out a Petrie cross from under his crossbar.
